Easing the pain of vague political speech
This falls into the “I don’t get it” category; it usually results from wording used by politicians that baffles me.
A brochure called “Easing Pain at the Pump” arrived this morning from my Republican New York state legislator, Joseph Giglio of the 149th Assembly District. (Like my congressman, the Hon. John R. Kuhl, who prefers to be called “Randy,” Mr. Giglio prefers “Joe” in his public persona. Presumably both wish to be seen as men “of the people.”) Read the rest of this entry »
